About me

My Story
I'm a black first-generation college graduate with a film and associate's of art degree. I was the first in my family to finish school, and it took a lot of soul-searching to figure out why I even wanted to go. Money? Success? Eternal happiness? I think everyone has their own set of reasons, but I uprooted my systemic fears in pursuit of creative fulfillment.
I went from Information Technology to Film. How? I always had an affinity for drawing my favorite anime characters (Naruto, Inuyasha, Sonic, etc.) while growing up. Along the way, I drifted into music and I felt like my hobbies were growing into burning passions... but I also needed "a real job with real money in order to survive." I said screw that, life is too short to sit behind a desk letting my dreams pass by, and I had an epiphany to merge all of my creative skills into video production. No part of myself had to be left behind after all.
Fast forward through unpacking generational trauma, workaholism, and inferiority complexes, I realized that I wasn't made to fit inside the box. Nothing about the way I operated did anyway. Once I accepted that, magic started happening on its own. I've met dozens and dozens of amazing people thanks to the doors that opened for me after stepping onto my true life path. And these people taught me that it's not about survival, but it's about doing what's right forYOU.
I've learned that being yourself is the only thing that matters in a world that tells you to be someone else. I'm happy to say that I've shot some amazing films, scored some wonderful music, and drawn some mind-blowing art along the way. Feel free to check out my work if you're curious about the stuff that I've made.
